Amber was half way through her first year of a Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing T Level qualification and already had an impressive CV. “We were keen to meet her,” says Francis Wilkinson, Quantamatic’s Quality and Regulatory Manager, who quickly offered Amber a 45-day placement. “To say it’s been a success, is an understatement – she completely exceeded our expectations and has brought a new dimension to the business.”

Amber’s computer-aided design mastery stood out, enabling her to create original drawings for Quantamatic that are being used across the business. “Some of our product designs were in need of a refresh,” says Wilkinson. “Amber applied the skills she’d learned at college and elevated our core drawings to a new level. She made a huge, tangible difference and leaves a real legacy.” Amber is hoping to continue onto a degree apprenticeship on completion of her T Level in 2025.

Quantamatic specialise in the manufacture of small precision turned parts in high volume, using fully automated Swiss coil fed Escomatic and Star CNC machines. We are now the largest company specialising in the use of Escomatic machines in the Midlands and the fastest growing producer of quality small turned parts in the country, with a capacity of up to 20mm outside diameter, now exporting to the EEC, USA and the Far East.

All our processes are aligned with our BS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. We are able provide product documentation in line with the ISO/TS 16949 (PPAP) Quality Management standard, as per customer specific requirements.

Our winning team of highly skilled and Apprentice served Production and Maintenance Technicians, together with a dedicated Quality Department and semi-skilled auxiliaries, provide an unrivalled level of experience and expertise.

Right First Time Samples are provided by our priority CAM facility. This service improves quality and saves time, resulting in overall Savings.

Our technicians monitor key dimensions, using optical projectors, toolmakers microscopes and digital measuring devises. The team is supported by computerised production and logistical control systems. Our Inspection department is equipped with accurate measuring, gauging and electronic test equipment calibrated by an independent accredited laboratory. Ensuring highest standards are maintained.
